With two decades of experience in the drum and bass genre, John Rolodex is known worldwide for his production skills. His music has been released on some of the most recognized labels in the industry including Hospital, Metalheadz, V Recordings and Dread.
This 2.5 hour masterclass will cover the production of a drum and bass track from the ground up.

- Cutting and sequencing breakbeats,
- Basslines and their components,
- Song structure and arrangement,
- Getting mixdowns balanced and loud, and
- How send demos / signing music.
The class will be of value to producers of all experience levels and of all styles of electronic music. Proprietary techniques developed over many years and not taught anywhere else will be shared.

John Rolodex Bio
John Rolodex is one of Canada's premiere DnB artists. His music has appeared on Metalheadz, Hospital, V Recordings and numerous other established imprints. John's music has been supported by every major figure in the genre including legends like Goldie, Dillinja, Pendulum, Krust & Doc Scott. His music was featured repeatedly by the late John Peel on his legendary BBC Radio 1 show.
John has headlined events in dozens of cities across Europe and North America including: Amsterdam, Budapest, Chicago, Copenhagen, London, Los Angeles, Munich, New York, Toronto, Vancouver and Oslo. His three-year run on Bassdrive.com led to new fans across the globe, with an audience of around two thousand every week.
John is the founding partner in Machinist Music, which has released music from established and emerging artists from around the globe since 2010.
After a three-year hiatus, John Rolodex is breaking new ground. His latest work is being supported by cutting-edge leaders like Om Unit, Librarian, Matt the Alien and Sinistarr. John is currently in development stages of a short film, which he is directing and scoring. In 2016 John led the panel on bass music at AEMCON, hosting the likes of T.Power, Greazus, Sinistarr and Homesick.
