MUSIC THEORY FOR PRODUCERS

In our 4 week music theory course, we’ll teach you the fundamental building blocks of music,

• Learn to create melody, harmony, chord progressions, modes, and how to apply theory to songwriting.

• Expand your musical vocabulary and refine your creative expression,

• Weekly classes: Monday’s from 7-9pm

• 4 lessons total

• Lessons will be held at our downtown studio, or accessible via live-stream over zoom

What do I need?

• Laptop & headphones

• Basic understanding of Ableton (or DAW of choice)

• This course is designed for beginner’s with little or no prior experience in music theory

• We’ll cover the fundamental building blocks of music theory including:

  • Scales (Major, Minor & Modes)

  • Chord theory & Progressions

  • Writing melody and harmony

  • Using theory in your compositions
